Samantha Cronin, LCSW
Samantha Cronin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Certified School Social Worker in Connecticut. She received her Master’s in Social Work (MSW) from Southern Connecticut State University, as well as her Intermediate Administrator Certification. She gained clinical experience working in an outpatient setting coordinating group, family and individual counseling for individuals across the lifespan. The focus of her graduate work was on preventing domestic violence and treating domestic violence survivors. During six years working as a social worker and education director at a private school for special education students, Samantha provided support to families, adolescents and children with a variety of social/emotional needs through individual and group treatment.
Samantha works with individuals specializing in treatment of anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, personality disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, autism spectrum disorder and attachment disorder. She utilizes a strengths-based approach to meet each client where they are. Samantha uses cognitive behavioral therapy combined with a person-in-environment approach to identify and shift maladaptive thoughts and behaviors and help each client find peace and contentment. Samantha is committed to on going learning and is newly certified in Applying Neuroscience for the Treatment of Trauma, Anxiety and Stress Disorders.
