Renee is a Connecticut Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and is committed to the mental health and well-being of her clients. Renee obtained her Master of Science degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) from New York University. She developed her clinical skills providing individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults through her experience working in a hospital setting as well as in child protective services and family preservation services. With experience in inpatient, outpatient, and in-home settings, she has provided and coordinated a wide range of counseling services for clients who seek help for a broad range of mental health challenges. She treats individuals throughout the life span: children, adolescents/teens, and adults. She has professional experience working with individuals and families with: depression and anxiety disorders, ADD/ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders, attachment disorders, as well as parenting issues, relational problems, emotion regulation, work/life balance, chronic illness, grief/loss, and trauma.

Renee has completed the intensive Circle of Security training and is a Registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator (COS-P). Renee has also completed intensive, specialized trainings in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, mindfulness, and hypnotherapy. In addition, she continues to engage in continuing education in a variety of psychotherapy modalities and mind-body practices, including trauma treatment, meditation, aromatherapy, and therapeutic breathing. Renee utilizes a blend of cognitive-behavioral and client-centered therapy to promote healing and desired change, as well as holistic and mindfulness strategies to increase psychological flexibility and adaptation. Renee also utilizes Heart Rate Variability (HRV) to facilitate clients with creating a coherent state of being by building resilience, increasing energy, and promoting focus, mental clarity, and emotional balance.

Renee is also a licensed LENS practitioner, with successful completion of intensive neurofeedback training at Center for Brain as well as successful completion of the specialized LENS Foundations Training and Intermediate Training at Ochs Labs. Renee utilizes LENS Neurofeedback System, BodyLENS, Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT), and Bioregulation Therapy (BRT) in the treatment of conditions involving: cognition, mood, sleep, motor functioning, executive functioning, sensory processing, anxiety, impulsivity/reactivity, pain management, addictions/dependencies, and organic brain conditions (seizures, cerebral palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorders, headaches, TBI, concussions). Renee believes that the transformative power of neurofeedback offers clients an effective, non-medical tool to healing.
